Sales That Follow Up Alone Technical

Take payments and pay others inside your own app

If your business runs on a website or app, setting up checkout, paying sellers or affiliates and verifying their identity usually means stitching together three different providers. Whop offers one API for payments, payouts, identity verification (KYC), embedded chat and license keys, with SDKs in TypeScript, Python and Ruby.

Who this is NOT for

If you do not have a developer, this is not for you. These are API docs, and the page itself says it is for teams that «already own their UI». It is also overkill if you sell over WhatsApp or at a counter and only need to charge now and then. And if you sell in a specific Latin American country, be careful: the landing page mentions «local payment methods» but does not say which ones or where. Confirm that before anyone writes a line of code.

Curator's note · NeuralEdge

What sets it apart is putting what are usually several providers behind one API: charging customers, paying third parties with hosted KYC, and validating software licenses. If you run a marketplace that pays sellers or affiliates, or you sell downloadable software, that saves a lot of integration work. The usual mistake is picking it for the «one API» pitch without checking the only thing that matters in Latin America: whether it covers your customers' payment methods and the countries of the people you will pay. This page does not answer that. We also could not verify its license or stars: it is a service with a dashboard and API keys, not a repo you install on your own server.
