Your Own Private AI Self-host

Your own ChatGPT for the whole team

You want the team using AI without pasting client data into external services. Open WebUI is a ChatGPT-style interface over your local models: users, history, documents and permissions, all on your server.

Who this is NOT for

If you plan to rebrand or resell it as 'your' AI platform, its branding clause forbids it without written permission. And for a single person, Jan or AnythingLLM is simpler: this shines with a team.

Curator's note · NeuralEdge

Ollama's natural complement: one is the engine, this is the dashboard. We transcribed its license clause because the 'open' in the name causes confusion: free and self-hosted for your team, yes; white-label, no. For internal use it is the best interface that exists today, which is why it is here.

Your first step

With Ollama already installed: docker run -d -p 3000:8080 ghcr.io/open-webui/open-webui:main and open it in the browser with your team.

The Open WebUI implementation guide

The project belongs to Open WebUI Inc. (Timothy Jaeryang Baek) and it is free: the link beside asks for nothing. The guide to set it up without getting lost is ours: step by step, common mistakes and a checklist. Leave your email and we will send it.
